What is it that girls love about shoes? Why are we so obsessed with vintage shoes and designer shoes, rather than any other items in our closet? Is it because of their ability to transform a woman? Add retro platform shoes, and we are instantly taller; designer stiletto heels and we are instantly sexy. Add ballet flats, and we are Parisian chic; or designer pumps, and we are powerful. Add vintage sandals and we are laid back. Add vintage boots and we are earthy. Keep the same black dress on and change the designer shoes, and you have a bunch of completely different looks, just with one quick switch. I'm not talking different outfits, but different styles, different karma, different vibes, different energy, different looks. Could that be why we love vintage shoes so much?
