Color Crush: Coral
Posted by Natali on Jun 24th 2014
With summer in full swing, its time to update our wardrobes. One color we’re crushing on is coral!
This versatile color looks good on dresses, pants, skirts, and even makeup. What makes this color so great is that it is universally flattering. Its easier and more sophisticated to wear than bright orange. Coral looks pretty on both tan and fair skin tones, so stock up!
Coral also mixes well with some of our other summer staples, like navy and turquoise. Pair a dress, like this Thierry Mugler dress, with turquoise accessories for a summery outfit. This signature Mugler is an eye catching piece, with its brigh color and open back design. If you’re skeptical, try this color first as an accent to a neutral outfit. Pick a fun, light scarf or big, chunky jewelry for your first foray into the world of coral.
For the more adventurous, try pairing the color with another print, like leopard, for a funky combination. Find a fun print, like this vintage Paganne floral maxi dress, for a bold, chic look. Keep other elements of the outfit neutral so the maxi dress remains the focal point of the outfit.
Colored pants continue to be a hot staple this summer. Opt for a pair in coral and wear them with your favorite chambray shirt or other neutral top. The possibilities are endless for this color crush!
