Magazine Monday: Bright Colored Pencil Skirts

The pencil skirt is a timeless and classic skirt, but now it is being freshened up in bright bold colors.  Lucky Magazine says bright colored pencil skirts are a spring trend, and after seeing them everywhere on the street, we have to agree.  Surprisingly, they are easy to incorporate into your wardrobe, partly because of today’s color blocking trend, but also because the shape is so classic, it almost becomes a neutral.   For an office appropriate look pair with black, and white.  For cocktails, choose a more playful color like hot pink, or zebra print.  Be sure to wear with a tucked in top, to emphasize the long lean lines, and sexy silhouette.  As for heels, the higher the better, and definitely no flats.  A pencil skirt, because of its longer length, will look frumpy with flats.
